Default noobs in UW/FoW

does anyone other than me have a serious pet peeve of this??

EXAMPLE 1 : 5 mins ago we are in a time, a guy says im a tank i have done hundreds of UW clears, so we thought, sweet lets get him in!
we then enter and he isnt a tank!
he then says.. does anyone know where the reaper of the labrynth is... -.-

it seems to happen everytime, you get one or two massive noobs joining a group caiming to be really good and experienced, and it turns out they have no clue what they are doing.

i wish there was some way of telling who was and wasnt experienced in the elite challenges, but then i suppose it would end up like HA where people only want r5+ and massive title discrimination become apparent. it's a shame but i just really wanted to rant about it because it stresses me out when your up for a full clear and it ends up failing because of one or two lying noobs!

It's annoying that people do that but it's also, sadly, the only way that people like him will ever get to experience UW/FoW.

Sorry but I never completed UW during the Ursan and SF fads. Should I never get to do UW so exp people can have peace of mind? No. I will offer cons as payment and get into a group and I will bow before greater experience.

seriously, there are lots of people who would like to to the uw/fow and dont have a big glorious guild to learn with---and since they are 'noobs' will never get any experience since all groups ONLY look for experienced players. So in order to get a group they will say 'yes, I have done it tons of times' otherwise they wont get a group.
Forgive those of us that have not had the opportunity to do the uw/fow thousands of times, geez.

Exactly, people need to learn and as people learn they'll get better at it, and then it will be easier to find a group that is decent enough to get to Dhuum.

That reminds me of a time in a former guild when we needed a perma so i asked my friend, he said he's perma, then he ended up running a moebius build he switched at the last moment. But he has a tendency to do things like that for lulz.

that's part of the cancer killing this game. people can't handle screw ups so they try to get experienced groups, exclude newer people, then complain about pugging/this game being dead. and the guilds that are well capable of helping capable players learn elite areas/high end pvp refuse to, because they care about winning more than just playing for fun.

Problem is - how to learn when all groups want only experienced players?
I did a few times FoW and UW (also SC), but I would like to do some more... with normal groups... But i can't... Almost everytime i find a group - it fails... It's really nearly impossible to find good group who know what to do.

The OP forgets he/she was a noob once and many others who now have experience and think they shouldn't have to play with the likes of themselves when they were noobs. baw haw haw haw that is so funny. It's a silly game quit acting like your life depends on it. So you fail big deal what's your hurry? Someday you'll get lucky and win that's what you play for and NOT to WIN EVERY GD TIME YOU PLAY. I've never seen so many selfish lazy I want it my way or the highway type players in my life. Play as it was intended to be played for ENTERTAINMENT not a LIFE's GOAL.

Pretty much that and the others that have said similar. Lots of people want to do it, but if they don't claim exp they'll most likely not get to do it, so they feel they have to bluff their way into a group to even get one. I'm not saying it's good to do that, but geez give some people a chance who want to learn things. The game isn't all about fake wealth ya know.

it's no different than getting that warrior for your UW run than getting an idiot, like myself, on your HA. i see no difference. so, i agree with Del.

Sarlius, thank you to adding to the cancer.

Hint 1: Anyone who claims to be "exp" or "pro" is not.

Hint 2: Anyone who claims to be seeking someone who is "exp" or "pro" or "no noobs" isn't either.

Hint 3: Anyone who claims to be a tank or is seeking a tank is also pretty clueless.

I think the same couple of hundred people are doing UW and FoW all the time wile the rest just gave up on it.

In HA, it's probably about fifty players.

Its the party leaders responsibility to make sure the party works. Ie, that people have the right builds, know how to use them, make sure they know the vital stuff about the area, make sure there are cons (if needed), that people have picks and clean inventories and other things that might be important.
If you have people in the party that sucks and you didnt notice while you were setting up in town, then you need to work with your team mangement.

A major problem I think most people have with the newbs is that they DONT listen. You can tell them what not to do, but they still go ahead and do it. I have no problem helping people out, but when people dont listen to what your saying, it pisses me off.

its people like you is why i never tried to pug uw/fow before the nerfs! so sorry everyone isa super god able to do everything with their eyes closed. maybe if more people took the time to teach a random person their would be less noobs.

I don't know how it works for other people, but all I do to learn these things is watch one YouTube video and go on a PUG. Oke the last time I did that was a few years ago, when we did UWSC with Ursans in Vale, but meh.
-Know your enemies + allies + quests.
-Watch a YouTube video.
-Always listen to team input, atleast if you're a newb.
